2º International Symposium "MICRO SAFETY WINE"

"Wine Microbiology and Safety: from the vineyard to the bottle" (Microsafetywine)

Martina Franca (TA), November 19-20 2009

On behalf of the Scientific Committee and the Organizations that gives it support, we are glad to invite you in attending and taking part to the II International Symposium “MICROSAFETYWINE”, focused on “Wine Microbiology and Quality of Wine", which will be held in Martina Franca (Taranto, Italy) on 19th and 20th November 2009. The specific title of the congress is "Wine Microbiology and Safety: from the vineyard to the bottle"

This Symposium has as principal scope to gather people interested in the enhancement of quality and safety of wine productions. Another main objective is to emphasize the most recent results about the influence of micro-organisms (yeast, bacteria, fungi) in wine quality and safety.
This event supplies a great opportunity for all the subjects involved in the wine production chain since it will promote the diffusion of scientific results transfer of results in support of the small and middle enterprises acting in the wine industry. The Researchers and experts will directly interact with Operators in order to place theirs technical-scientific know-how at enterprises' disposal and to contribute in this way to fill the existing gap among the scientific world and the entrepreneurial one.

Articles of the contributions of invited speakers and other selected research presentations will be published in a special issue of the peer-reviewed scientific journal Annals of Microbiology.

We hope you will be able to join us for this International Symposium in the welcoming atmosphere of Apulia, a colourful region of Southern Italy.
