I am a Germany-based wine professional, educator, food pairing expert, and book author. My work focuses on wine education, tasting, and communication, with the goal of making complex wine topics accessible, well structured, and engaging for both professionals and wine enthusiasts. I hold the WSET Diploma in Wines and teach several WSET courses at the Deutsche Wein- und Sommelierschule. In addition, I run my own wine curator business,www.weinkaraeter.de, where I offer masterclasses, workshops, and in-depth training on a wide range of wine topics, as well as consulting on wine selection and food and wine pairing. Sensory evaluation is a central element of my professional focus. I have developed extensive expertise in analytical tasting, wine structure, and style identification and am a current and former member of the German National Blind Tasting Team, representing Germany multiple times at international blind tasting championships
