Deniz Bayram is a London-based wine educator at WSET School, where he teaches WSET Levels 1, 2, 3, and the Diploma in Wines. He also teaches fortified wines, including Port, as part of the D5 unit of the WSET Diploma. Before moving fully into education, Deniz trained as a chef at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island and worked across hospitality, wine retail, events, and trade-facing roles in both the US and the UK. This background shapes a practical and experience-led teaching style, focused on helping students understand not just what a wine is, but why it exists and how it fits in the wider world. He works daily with an international mix of students in London, many of whom are actively working in restaurants, retail, importing, or production. His teaching emphasizes the democratization and accessibility of wine education through clarity, relatability, and real-world relevance in the classroom.
