Dominique Santens is a seasoned wine professional, educator, and sommelier with a deep academic and practical foundation in the world of wine. He specializes in importing wines, providing wine consulting, and advising companies in management and strategy. His passion for wine education is reflected in his active teaching roles: professor in Sommelier Courses at CVOGent, at SyntraWest, at CVOCreo and at TIC, where he teaches both sommelier training and wine–food pairing. Dominique’s wine knowledge is grounded in extensive certifications, including WSET3 Wine, WSET1 Sake, Capstone3 and Sommelier‑Conseil (Université du Vin in Suze‑la‑Rousse France). He is an active member of several respected wine associations, including the Vlaamse Wijngilde and the Association of Flemish Sommeliers (VVS). Complementing his wine background, Dominique holds a Master in Chemical Engineering from KU Leuven and an MBA from Vlerick-Leuven business school, bringing analytical and managerial strength to his wine-related pursuits.
