Wine, people, and the stories connecting them. I teach, guide, and advise with one clear goal: making wine knowledge real, accessible, and meaningful. Always with genuine curiosity and no pretense. Wine has been my world for a long time, starting in fine dining in a michelin star restaurant and my own restaurants, where I learned that wine isn't about showing off; it's about connecting people to something meaningful. That's what drives me now. I work as an educator and Exam Officer according to WSET, but also other methods, because I genuinely enjoy watching people discover that wine knowledge isn't complicated or pretentious , it's practical, accessible, and fun. I develop courses like 'Wine in Business' and 'Wine on the Floor' because I want managers, retail staff, and everyday wine lovers to feel confident and inspired, not intimidated. What I love most is translating wine into real life , whether that's showing how to pair food with wine, helping restaurant teams communicate better about their lists, or guiding people through tastings in a way that sticks with them. I'm not just teaching about wine and Port from the Netherlands. I actually work in the region, through my Porto Wine Tours, I spend time with wine makers, understand the terroir and culture directly, and bring that lived experience into every conversation. As an international jury member for wine competitions, I also evaluate quality with the same rigorous eye I bring to everything else.
