Born in Minnesota, Ryan is the co-founder and CEO of Catavino Tours. Since 1998, Ryan has worked in almost every aspect of the wine industry from marketing consultant, event organizer, speaker, and retailer to his current work as an author and expert wine guide. He is the co-author and photographer of the James Beard Award-nominated book Foot-Trodden: Portugal and the wines time forgot. Ryan shares his passion for Portuguese wines through his custom-designed tours, as well as events at his sustainable wine shop theLAB located in the heart of Porto where he lives with his wife and son.
