Originally from Hong Kong and now based in Paris, Tony Yip is an F&B professional with expertise spanning wine, spirits, sake and cheese. As of 2026, he is the only educator in Europe certified to teach WSET Wines, Sake and Spirits courses up to Level 3 across all three disciplines. He is also a Fellow and Accredited Trainer of the Academy of Cheese. Tony holds the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines, along with IVDP Certified Port Wine Educator status and other qualifications including Sherry Educator, Cava Educator and DWI Anerkannter Berater für Deutschen Wein. A WSET Certified Sake & Spirits Educator (Levels 1-3), he also holds certifications in mixology and Scotch whisky. Among the most highly qualified sake and shochu professionals internationally, he holds the JSA Sake Diploma, SSI Kikisake-Shi, SSI Sake Instructor and SSA Certified Sake Educator credentials. Tony judges wine, spirits, sake and cheese competitions globally, and works in English, French, German, Cantonese and Mandarin.
