Cees (pronounced: Case) is one of just 3 Dutch Masters of Wine. He spent 14 years in fine chemicals and oenological specialties (such as yeast and enzymes). In this period, he was based in both Europe (France and The Netherlands) and United States of America. Cees van Casteren MW started writing about wine in 2004. Since then he has written 12 books and more than 700 articles on wine and food. He publishes weekly in three newspapers of the Associated Press, writes for Meininger’s Wine Business International, opinion magazine HP De Tijd and the glossy Navenant. JancisRobinson.com said of his most recent book ‘Anyone Can Taste Wine’: “It is the best ‘learn to taste wine’ book I have ever come across.”
Cees is also partner of wine blog thestoryofmywine.com with appr 90,000 followers on Instagram and Facebook. Cees is a noted wine educator in Europe and runs his own independent wine consultancy and training business. Among his clients are the Chadwick Group, Aminean Estates and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of The Netherlands. Cees has twice been named Vinologist of the Year. He currently is Chairman of the Association of Vinologists, the main association for wine professionals in the Dutch trade.
